Description

This excellent condo is situated in the Villas at Somerset resort, just south of the 192 on North Poinciana Blvd, less than 15 car minutes from Walt Disney World. With the Interstate 4 (I4) within 3 miles of this condo, Universal Studios (25 minutes), Seaworld (20 minutes) and Legoland (45 minutes) are all within easy reach, just like the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico (90 minutes). This condo offers free high-speed internet (Wi-Fi).

The condo has many extras to make your stay enjoyable. It has been furnished to a very good standard. The great floor plan places the fully equipped kitchen right in the middle of the family room, dining room and 3 bedrooms.

Upon entering this second floor condo, there is the very spacious family room with flatscreen cable TV to the left, with the dining table (seats 6) right next to it. The well fitted kitchen is located to the right. Past the kitchen is the hallway leading to all the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The kitchen includes a full size oven, built-in microwave, fridge-freezer, waste disposal unit and dishwasher. There is also a full range of electrical appliances and utensils – everything you could want in your home away from home.

The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed and cable TV, plus an en suite bathroom offering vanity, large walk-in shower and toilet. The second bedroom features 2 Twin beds. The third bedroom features another Queen size bed. These last two bedrooms share the second bathroom, accessible from the hallway, with shower tub, vanity and toilet. All 3 bedrooms have plenty of closet space. The Master bedroom has a ceiling fan (in addition to the central air conditioning throughout the condo).

The washing machine and dryer are located in the laundry closet found in the hallway past the kitchen. Iron and ironing board are present too.

Traveling with little ones? For your convenience, this vacation rental is equipped with a high-chair and pack 'n play, ready for your complimentary use.

On the resort, a host of amenities help make your stay even more enjoyable. There is the large resort pool (heated in fall and winter) and the resort Spa/hot tub (heated year round). You also enjoy complimentary access to the resort’s gym, sauna, tennis court and the Clubhouse with business center and gift/convenience shop.

Do not be fooled by all of the other reviews rating this place highly like I was. For starters— the location leaves much to be desired and is in a complex that most would consider dilapidated. The entire complex looks dingy, cheap, and not well maintained. Upon arriving to the unit, the unit directly across the hall was destroyed by a fire. The outside of this unit was also charred from the fire. This is something that should’ve been communicated as now both my son and wife have horrendous coughs that were not present before our stay in this unit. There are several very obvious patches on the walls throughout that weren’t done properly or even painted over, the dishes in the cabinets were all dirty and had to be washed before use, and the bedroom with two twin beds had what appeared to be mold on the floorboards. This place looks nothing like the pictures, has a ridiculous limit on how cool you can keep it (which was not listed on the site), and I would never recommend someone stay here, especially with children. The beds— I would be hard-pressed to believe that these are queen beds as advertised. My wife and I barely fit in this bed and have slept comfortably in plenty of queen-sized beds. As previously stated, do yourself a favor and keep looking. This place was outdated, ghetto, and in a less than desirable location.

Hi Chris, thank you for sharing your feedback. Sorry to hear this wonderful condo did not meet your expectations. The fire in the condo across from the one we manage happened in the summer (July 2023), and as it turns out, the insurance company for that unit has been dragging their feet, making it very hard for that owner to more quickly proceed with the repairs. We have had many guests stay since, including several returning from previous years, and none have had an issue with that temporarily less appealing view (exterior only). The one bedroom wall showing a patch/repair in our unit has been painted over since your stay. Could not be done prior to your arrival, as not enough time to do so, following a shower valve repair only accessible through that back wall, just days before your arrival (shower would have been only running cold water otherwise, brrr). The recommended cooling to 74-75 degrees is to prevent any AC unit from freezing over during the very hot summers, but the thermostat can be set lower for sure, and the AC unit can handle it just fine, especially in the fall/winter time. Really wish you would have contacted us regarding such concerns while staying, so we could have responded immediately and make your stay more comfortable. Last but not least, the beds are definitely of the Queen size, so we are not sure why they may have felt smaller than that to you. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to be able to accommodate you and your family again in the future, in one of the many other rental homes we manage if you so prefer.

Our group of six was very please with the condo. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location close to a variety of restaurants with Walmart and Target near by.
We were here for the Cheerleading Worlds competition and the commute was a very convenient 15 minutes to ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Upper level condo appears very roomy because of the vaulted ceilings in multiple rooms, plus the living room - dining area are large. Nice decor and furniture. Beds are on par with most rentals - not great but OK. The hall bathroom could benefit from an exhaust fan versus opening the window. The resort grounds could use improvements, especially the tennis courts and grassy areas. The pool is heated but has a rough bottom that can wear on your feet after a while. Overall, the resort was adequate and is in a good location. The property manager was excellent and responded to a missing screen immediately. Overall, we would stay here again.

Due to the SE fuel crisis we needed to extend our stay by a couple days - however the current residence we were renting. Our rental representative got us into this cute condo and it was perfect! It's close to everything and really roomy (and comfortable). I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Perfect location Lovely and clean . Just right for my husband and I . Beds are super comfortable . Quiet and peacefull. Management company are quick to answer questions. Only 1 problem the couches in the main living are are so hard and uncomfortable it is impossible to relax in the evenings. We resorted to sitting on the wooden dining chairs or on the floor as they are so bad.Its a real shame as the rest of the condo is good. would have been 5 stars had they been useable

We were booked at the condo for 3 weeks, just the two of us, and we had a brilliant time. Its location off North Poinciana Blvd was the perfect location for us; all the activities, shopping and supermarkets we like were very close by.

The condo was very clean and well-kept and the management company were very helpful prior to our stay. We had no issues during our stay so had no need to contact them further.

We really, really liked the electronic entry system, which meant we did not have to carry a door key with us – very useful if more people were in your group.

We would have liked to have a proper ironing board, instead of a table-top one (with two suitcases full of creased clothes it was hard work!). A clothes airer would also be good, as not all clothing is suitable for the tumble dryer.

The only thing we really disliked was the cutlery – with their red plastic handles, they were very flimsy and just awful to eat with.

We had a great stay though; this is the perfect location for us - and hopefully the cutlery will have been changed before our next visit :)

We were very content in this vacation rental, spacious, clean and inviting décor. Kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The only disappointment was the clubhouse/pool/gym area closed Thursdays and opened late and closed early as well the rest of the week.

It is a nice spacious apartment. I give it 3 stars because i didn't like the blankets on the beds. They were kind of old and looked used by a lot of people. I didn’t like that there was no soap to shower or garbage bags. And the the cable in the living room went out a couple of times. Also the couch had crumbs of other peoples toe nails, etc. But if you fix the following it would a nice apartment to stay in again.

I've stayed at Excellent Vacation Homes years ago and enjoyed it. This time around my family and had issues with the main bathtub being clogged and the wifi not working, but other than that, all the other amenities were working fine during or stay. Beds were super comfortable and the place was spacious.

The location of this property is pretty great. Upon arrival, it seems its located in a lower class apartment like complex and the grounds are not really kept up. I did feel uneasy there, especially after seeing the police looking for someone or something, upon return one night, near where I was staying. At my specific condo, there were weeds growing everywhere, grass missing, things like a foam ice chest for the people before me, right outside of my door. The outside cleanliness wasn't that great. You have to type in a specific code to enter and checkout which was convenient. The inside of the condo was beautiful, actually, which was a surprise. The decor is really nice. It had everything we needed and then some. The only thing I would suggest to management would be put more trash bags in the condo. We only had one, with 5 people, for a 5 night stay. It didn't last long and had to make due with what I had as a trash bag. The beds are avertised as Queens. I'm not so sure they were. If they were a queen, they were small. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again but, I would recommend if you're looking for a budget place thats beautiful inside, go here.

Everything was perfect!! The rental was clean and inviting. Perfect location (especially if you love shopping)!! Check-in and Check-out was smooth! We will definitely stay here again!!

We stayed in Kissimmee for a typical theme park vacation. The condo was located within 20 minutes of the major parks in the area. The condo was clean and a good size for a family (3 bedrooms). The complex pool and spa were clean and not busy. The condo was perfect for our needs with lots of nearby stores and restaurants. The only suggestion would be some updated decorating.

We stayed in this condo for a quick anniversary trip to Disney. It is centrally located to everything we needed. When we arrived, the condo was super clean, well kept and ready for us. It had all the starter packets (bar soap, TP, dishwasher and laundry soap) we needed. Be sure to read those details. We didn't find a dish cloth but made due with paper towel. The door locking system worked great and was easy to use. We didn't have time to use the pool or other amenities but they looked nice. We would definitely rent this space again!

Had to attend a conference in Orlando. Myself and a buddy split this condo and it worked out perfect. Close to Disney where the conference was, fairly priced, clean, and even a hot tub!
